Sinoda is a tactical dice-placement strategy game where 4-sided dice serve as your pieces on a mesmerizing "flower of life" board. The goal is straightforward: capture opponent pieces worth the most points.
On each turn, either move a piece or rotate it to shift its top number up or down by 1. That number is crucial—it's both your movement range and the point value your opponent gains if they capture you. Land directly on an opponent's piece to capture it. Movement has restrictions: you can't cross over other pieces or backtrack through spaces you've already traveled.
The game concludes when any player is reduced to a single piece, loses their last piece entirely, or claims 6 captured pieces. Points determine the winner, not piece count—you can lose everything and still emerge victorious. A special Sinoda win condition exists in two-player matches.
Player count dramatically shapes the experience. Two players get a pure, contemplative abstract duel. Three and four players add shifting alliances and tactical depth. Six players transforms the game into a social negotiation where trust, bluffing, and cunning plans dominate. Team variants let any teammate's victory count as a full team win, encouraging bolder individual play.
